The Energy Unit works to help build a secure, affordable and sustainable energy future for Saint Kitts and Nevis.
Our work is guided by the National Energy Policy, which focuses on four priorities: energy security, access to energy for all, affordable energy, and environmental protection. The policy also sets a goal of generating 100% of the country’s electricity from renewable energy sources.
We operate within the national legal framework, including legislation governing electricity supply, renewable energy and the development of geothermal resources in Nevis.
